Los Merengues forward Vinicius Jr has apologised to fans for his response when replaced in Sunday's fiery match against Barcelona win.

Vinicius was taken off in the second half and showed his annoyance by going straight to the dressing room.

The Brazilian subsequently came back to the sidelines and, after his team's 2-1 win, attempted to approach the opposition's Lamine Yamal during unpleasant after the game incidents.

"Today I want to apologise to all the Real Madrid fans for my reaction when I was substituted in the Clasico," he posted on X.
